About The Position

Peraton is currently recruiting for a Systems Administrator - Senior. This role maintains the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. The administrator will monitor and manage system resources, such as CPU usage, disk usage, and response times, to ensure operating efficiency. Additionally, they will perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts, setting up administrator accounts, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The position involves interacting with users, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations for hardware and software purchases. The Systems Administrator will also coordinate installation, provide backup recovery, and develop and monitor policies and standards for the allocation and use of computing resources.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 12 years w/o BS/BA; 10 years with an Associates Degree
Active DoD Active Clearance

Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
