About The Position

This Systems Administrator Senior position at GDIT supports the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Alaska Mission Training Complex (JBER MTC). The 11th ABN DIV (ARCTIC) MTCCS utilizes various digital tools and Army fielded systems to provide individual, crew, and collective training. This includes individual soldier training, as well as the planning and execution of simulated combat exercise scenarios for crew and collective training up to the Division level. The facility's digital and communications architecture supports these simulated training exercises, offering realistic scenarios ranging from Stability Operations to Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO). The role involves managing the functionality and efficiency of computer systems across multiple operating systems, ensuring the integrity and security of servers and systems, and handling administrative tasks such as account setup, documentation, user interaction, installation coordination, and backup recovery. The Systems Administrator Senior will also be responsible for developing and monitoring policies for computing resource allocation, potentially programming in administrative languages, developing and implementing testing strategies, providing user advice and training, leading less-experienced staff, maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies, and participating in special projects.

Requirements

Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
5+ years of related experience
US Citizenship Required
Must be familiar with Microsoft SQL Server, to include syntax, joins, subqueries, tables and indexes, and database management.
Skilled in the management and troubleshooting of Active Directory user accounts and permissions to ensure secure access to resources.
Secret Security Clearance Level with the ability to obtain a TS
IAT II Baseline Certification (Comp TIA Sec+CE or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning and risk assessment, to include Security Content Automation Protocol is desired.
Familiarity with simulation to C4I systems, to include Data Dissemination Service (DDS) administration, is desired.
Desired Computing Environment Certification: MCSA Windows 10

Responsibilities
