About The Position

The DNA Software Administrator serves in support of IT and strategic initiatives throughout the organization to design, test, and analyze the Fiserv DNA Core processing system based on related user and system design specifications. This role is responsible for system administration, data architecture, reporting design & execution, and data controls in coordination with other system core analysts. Also responsible to design, install, administer, upgrade, patch and performance tune Oracle and other core databases. Responsible for maintaining communication with all key stakeholders to determine their needs and the effectiveness of the core systems. Research, analyze, maintain, document, recommend, and implement specific software and network solutions. Interacts with auditors, examiners, and other regulatory agencies. Provide technical assistance to end users and IT staff in the detection and resolution of core system problems. Assists researching business requirements and evaluate vendor products and service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Lead multiple projects while troubleshooting sessions, eliciting and refining business and system requirements to ultimately facilitate an appropriate solution. 2. Work with architects and other developers to implement 3rd party software integrations for strategic projects. 3. Provide guidance to teammates and other support departments throughout the process. 4. Write and perform regression test plans on new core system software releases and report discrepancies. 5. Administer ServicePoint cases with Fiserv. 6. Provide counsel on any queries or problems and communicate with Fiserv to ensure cases are resolved in a timely manner. 7. Identify any operational deficiencies to improve compliance with procedure and regulations. 8. Work with Automic to schedule, monitor and develop as needed batch jobs for Fiserv DNA daily and nightly processing, end of months processing and end of year processing as needed. Troubleshoot processing issues. 9. Provide user maintenance for all Core and Ancillary software packages. 10. Develop and maintain documentation describing system features, procedures, testing, changes, and corrections. 11. Provide leadership to peers including mentorship to new or less experienced team members. 12. Support key company priorities and strategies for continuous improvement through continued process verification, simplification and automation while leveraging the DNA system capabilities to deliver the needed process efficiencies across the enterprise. 13. Educate process stakeholders within DNA on how to identify and solve process challenges through the review of business rules, simulation of different scenarios, analysis of performance metrics and optimization capabilities within the DNA platform as changes are made or new processes are added. 14. To identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking and supporting framework, to deliver business transformation with DNA as an accelerator. 15. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. 16. Work with business partners in implementing infrastructure solutions including deployment, troubleshooting and validation. 17. Provide support in responding to escalations or outages impacting critical business functions. 18. Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient function of designated systems and applications a. Investigates new technology to improve system architecture and performance. b. Monitors and evaluates existing system technology. Provides suggestions for improved service. 19. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations exist with vendors and trade professionals. a. Represents the Credit Union in contacts with business and trade professionals. b. Ensures that requests, questions, and problems are courteously and professionally resolved. Ensures that communications are efficient and effective. c. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained both internally and externally. 20. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with Management. a. Assists, serves, and informs branches and departments as needed. b. Keeps the Network Engineer informed of area activities and of any significant problems. c. Completes required reports, records, and other documentation. 21. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. a. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. b. Completes special projects as assigned. c. Works a regular and predictable schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Driver’s License.
  • System engineering experience taking projects from initial concept through planning and implementation
  • Proficiency with Network Operating systems and administration of Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • Understanding of computer security as well as securing operating systems and network devices.
  • Understanding of data communication protocols, standards and related hardware.
  • Scripting experience with a strong proficiency in SQL Developer.
  • Ability to work with a team, with minimal instruction or supervision.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAN, clustering, backup and other enterprise applications to maintain availability and recoverability of systems.
  • A minimum of five years of DNA core system experience.
  • Experience with DNA Creator and Oracle Databases.
  • Administrative and supervisory experience.
