About The Position

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Junior System Administrator in support of Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) in Quantico, VA. This work supports USMC Operational Forces. General duties for the System Administrator include providing design, installation, testing, and sustainment of the MCIOC communication nodes, automated systems, and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Support USMC Operational Forces.
  • Provide design, installation, testing, and sustainment of MCIOC communication nodes, automated systems, and associated equipment.
  • Assist with installation, testing, and sustainment of MCEN-N, MCEN-S, JWICS, and other networks.
  • Identify system problems and notify appropriate Network Owner for resolution.
  • Provide sustainment engineering support of network systems.
  • Assist with installation design, new cabling, equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Establish new user accounts, configure and support laptops.
  • Configure, adjust, and maintain commercial cell phone assets and remote email services.
  • Assist users with remote/VPN access.
  • Coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for IT equipment repair.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems for Domain Users.
  • Maintain Configuration Baseline for Laptops and Workstations.
  • Maintain and inventory VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC’s, Printers, and Audio Visual Equipment.
  • Test and document communication architecture components.
  • Assist with administration of network storage arrays and Email Archiving System.
  • Support Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS).
  • Assist with administration of Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches.
  • Operate and maintain network management systems.
  • Assist with upkeep, organization, and cleanliness of spaces.
  • Assist with engineering and design requirements for RMF processes, including ATO development and security requirements.
  • Assist in updating section operating procedures.
  • Assist in escorting information technology and audiovisual professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, testing and sustainment of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), and other networks.
  • Identify system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution.
  • Sustain engineering support of network systems.
  • Assist Government personnel with the installation design, new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services.
  • Establish new user accounts, configuration & support for laptops, and the configuration/adjustment/maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services, assist users with remote/VPN access.
  • Arrange and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with software and hardware problems for Domain Users.
  • Assist in maintaining the Configuration Baseline for Laptops and Workstations.
  • Assist in maintenance and inventory of VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC’s, Printers, and Audio Visual Equipment.
  • Test and document components for communications architectures.
