About The Position

This internship opportunity involves organizing and directing the configuration and operation of information management systems. The intern will provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Responsibilities include conducting capacity and performance analysis, providing system configuration change and upgrade recommendations, and increasing system administrator efficiency and accuracy through automated tools and scripts. The role also involves developing system administrator procedures, and conducting system administrator training and skills assessment. Additionally, the intern will determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities and programming techniques and controls.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of configuration and operation of systems
  • Ability to maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links
  • Ability to perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Ability to monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2028
