About The Position

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator III to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members at FRCSW at North Island in Coronado, CA. The FRCSW IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a System Administrator to work on a highly challenging and rewarding project supporting the Industrial Manufacturing Systems Lab/Command Initiatives Division. This is a high-tech effort to support Naval Aircraft maintenance, part production, reverse engineering and incorporate systems into an authorization boundary across RMF Zones B, C and D environments. This role is primarily focused on Windows systems administration with ability to research and provide solutions to bring rouge systems and networks into supported RDT&E environments.

Requirements

  • Must have a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert, i.e., Sec+ CE.
  • BS with focus in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems/Cybersecurity desired or related field and 3+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and commercial software packages (COTS).
  • Experience with effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ACAS administrator certification preferred.
  • Experience in DoD Navy Fleet Readiness Center RDT&E environments preferred.
  • Previous experience within the U.S. Department of Defense highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily system administration duties of backups, maintenance on applications and OS, patching, tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Manage VMware vCenter and ESXi environments, including VM provisioning, host management, snapshots and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Windows Server Active Directory, group policy, user accounts and access and DNS services.
  • Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.
  • Recognize and clearly report relevant information.
  • Research and provide solutions to bring rouge systems and networks into supported RDT&E environments.
