About The Position

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is seeking a junior-to-mid level Systems Administrator/Account Management Support Specialist to support U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) transition and operational standup activities in Huntsville, Alabama. Serving as a front-facing support resource assisting newly transitioned government personnel, military members, and contractor staff with onboarding, account provisioning coordination, and day-to-day IT support functions. Acting as one of the first points of contact for incoming personnel and must demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills while supporting a fast-paced operational environment. Blending systems administration support, account management coordination, and quasi-help desk responsibilities across multiple classified and unclassified environments supporting C4IT and mission operations.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience supporting IT help desk, systems administration, customer support, or account management activities in a professional environment
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with Outlook
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
  • Familiarity with SharePoint
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple onboarding or support requests simultaneously
  • Familiarity with basic troubleshooting techniques for desktop and user support issues
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with senior personnel and mission users
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
  • Relevant military or professional experience may be substituted for formal education requirements
  • Experience supporting DoD, military, government contractor, or enterprise IT environments
  • Familiarity with classified environments and multi-network workstation support
  • Experience using ticketing or workflow management systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with CAC authentication and secure government workstation environments
  • Exposure to account provisioning or onboarding processes
  • Security+, Network+, or similar entry-level certifications
  • Experience supporting transition, relocation, or operational standup efforts
