About The Position

INODE is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join their team as a SolarWinds System Administrator III. This role will lead the planning, deployment, and management of complex SolarWinds environments. This is a salaried, full-time, onsite position at Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Active IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours
  • Expert level experience with creating/implementing customized dashboards, reports, notifications and automated responses
  • Ability to create network designs diagrams with Microsoft Visio
  • Strong expertise in SolarWinds, enterprise network monitoring tools and/or NetFlow analysis for either commercial and DoD (preferred) environments.
  • Ability to assess current SolarWinds implementations for each network and recommend changes
  • Ability to work with SQL, SWQL, SNMP, WMI and SSH tool sets
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience in systems administration
  • 5+ years of working experience in SolarWinds administration
  • One of the following certifications: SCP‐SAM Server & Application Monitor (SAM), SCP‐NCM Network Configuration Manager (NCM), SCP‐NPM Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or equivalent
  • Experience networking within the government
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions, Veritas NetBackup preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
  • DoD experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial and DoD (preferred) environments for enterprise network monitoring tools and/or NetFlow analysis
  • Veritas NetBackup preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and analyze the overall health and effectiveness of four SolarWinds Orion Platform Suit instances.
  • Install, configure, and administer SolarWinds.
  • Install and patch Windows-based operating systems and applications.
  • Document DISA STIGs checklists.
  • Create and implement customized dashboards, reports, notifications, and automated responses.
  • Create network design diagrams with Microsoft Visio.
  • Assess current SolarWinds implementations for each network and recommend changes.
  • Work with SQL, SWQL, SNMP, WMI, and SSH tool sets.
  • Develop and maintain SolarWinds Disaster Recovery plan(s).
  • Provide monthly status reports.
  • Perform cable management.
  • Perform duties onsite for a standard 8-hour day shift Monday-Friday.
