About The Position

Defines, captures, analyzes business requirements and develops them into Oracle Cloud HCM and/or Oracle Cloud ERP solutions that fit within the business environment and business objectives. This is a fully seasoned professional level (Senior level) capable of carrying out most assignments typical of the profession with limited guidance or review. This level would be considered a promotional level and attainable by any incumbent in a work group who demonstrate the necessary knowledge, ability and performance. Works under very general supervision. Depending on assignment, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle Cloud (HCM, Payroll, General Ledger, Contracts, Procurement, Payables, Assets, Receivables, Collections, Expenses, Cash Management, Grants Management) and analytics associated with these applications or application suites.
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud HCM / Oracle Cloud ERP
  • Skills in organizing and presenting information, proposals etc.
  • Ability to build effective relationships within the City and to train others.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science or engineering with 5-8 years of directly related professional work.
  • 2+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud implementation and support
  • Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/SCM certifications, Oracle Cloud Security or OIC certifications, ITIL certification

Responsibilities

  • Analyze software requirements, define solution parameters and specifications.
  • Gather technical requirements, displaying knowledge of the business environment in defining the customer’s needs
  • Application design and development
  • Coordinate with the business to provide input for the future enhancements of Oracle HCM and ERP Cloud
  • Proficient in developing reports using OTBI, FRS, and BI Publisher.
  • Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Oracle Cloud to ensure secure access to resources.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for Oracle HCM and ERP Cloud, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor cloud services for performance issues, applying tuning techniques and optimizing configurations as needed.
  • Enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Apply patches and updates to cloud services to maintain security and functionality.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts (using tools like Terraform or Ansible) to streamline deployments and routine tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Oracle Cloud services, providing timely support to users and teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance.
  • Work with development teams and other IT staff to support application deployments and integrations in the cloud environment.
  • Provide training and support to team members and users on Oracle Cloud services and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Oracle on service requests (SRs) to address any product defects or bugs.
  • Strong knowledge in Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud, primary skills on AR, GL, FA, PA, AP
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Modules and HR Processes
