Systems Administrator - Distribution Operations (61284)

Core Health & Fitness, LLCLancaster, TX
$97,000 - $116,000Hybrid

About The Position

Core Health & Fitness is seeking a Systems Administrator, Distribution Operations to join their global IT Infrastructure team. This role will be based at their Lancaster, Texas facility, the company's primary North American distribution hub. The position is a full member of the global infrastructure organization, contributing to enterprise infrastructure projects, standards, and operations while owning the on-site technical footprint of the highest-throughput fulfillment location. This role extends operational coverage for the IT Infrastructure team, shortens response times for a distribution environment, and strengthens resilience against off-hours incidents. It is a hands-on generalist position spanning servers, networking, endpoints, cloud, and security, suitable for someone who desires both the breadth of enterprise infrastructure work and the ownership that comes with being the senior technical presence at a business-critical site. The Lancaster distribution center is the operational backbone of the North American business, and this role is crucial for ensuring the availability of systems supporting order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of hands-on systems administration experience in a multi-site, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID.
  • Solid working knowledge of virtualization (VMware), backup solutions (Veeam), and SAN/NAS storage.
  • Practical networking skills: switching, wireless, VLANs, firewalls, and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Endpoint management experience with Microsoft Intune across Windows and macOS.
  • Working familiarity with core security concepts: MFA, least-privilege access, endpoint protection, and patch management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as the senior on-site technical presence while collaborating effectively with a geographically distributed team.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer-service, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site (3-4 days/week) in Lancaster, Texas and occasionally at a secondary site in the Dallas Metro area.
  • Experience managing business AV systems (conference room tech, TV content, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting warehouse and distribution technology — WMS platforms, shipping software, barcode scanners, and industrial label printers.
  • Hands-on exposure to Azure, Oracle OCI, or AWS.
  • Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience with enterprise security tooling (Palo Alto Cortex XDR, or similar) and ITSM platforms (Freshservice).
  • Prior experience as the sole or lead technical resource at a distributed site.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Security+, Microsoft MS-102 or AZ-104, VMware VCP, or Cisco CCNA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a full member of the global IT Infrastructure team, participating in enterprise projects, architecture discussions, standards development, and change management.
  • Provide Central-time monitoring and first response for infrastructure and security events, extending team coverage and escalating to the global infrastructure and security teams as needed.
  • Support cloud workloads across Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI, in coordination with the infrastructure team.
  • Contribute to enterprise documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base content.
  • Act as a subject-matter resource to the broader IT organization on distribution and warehouse technology.
  • Own the on-site infrastructure footprint at the Lancaster distribution center, ensuring high availability of systems supporting warehouse, shipping, and fulfillment operations.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain on-premise Windows servers and supporting infrastructure, including patching, firmware updates, backup verification, and capacity planning.
  • Manage local network infrastructure — switching, wireless, VLANs, and firewalls — and coordinate primary and backup ISP connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and network documentation for the site.
  • Support distribution-specific hardware and software including shipping systems, scan guns, Zebra label printers, tablets, and warehouse peripherals.
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure technology uptime directly supports shipping SLAs and order-fulfillment throughput.
  • Troubleshoot integrations between warehouse and shipping tools and core business systems, including Oracle EBS (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM).
  • Identify and drive improvements that reduce recurring downtime or manual workaround in the fulfillment workflow.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for local end users across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Manage endpoint provisioning, security, and lifecycle through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365; support conference-room AV and local print services.
  • Act as the escalation point for the service desk on complex, site-specific issues.
  • Operate within and help enforce enterprise cybersecurity tooling and policy at the site.
  • Assist with alert triage, vulnerability remediation, and incident response in coordination with the information security team.
  • Uphold access control, least-privilege, and change control standards, including privileged access management practices for site systems.
