About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator / AWS Cloud Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. This role involves managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS and potentially GCP. You will be responsible for system administration, cloud engineering, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud services, operating systems, networking, and scripting, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, cloud engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud services.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server and/or Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity/access management.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and routing.
  • Scripting skills in one or more of: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical work clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with both AWS and GCP platforms.
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps).
  • GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Experience in a hybrid or multi-cloud environment (on-premises + AWS and/or GCP).
  • Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft).

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Manage and optimize AWS and/or GCP cloud services.
  • Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity/access management solutions.
  • Configure and manage networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and routing.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Document technical configurations, processes, and procedures.
