About The Position
SageCor Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator 2 to support IT systems for programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and ten years of systems administration experience, along with a technical bachelor's degree or five additional years of systems administration experience in place of the degree. The Systems Administrator provides implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration, and operational support for IT systems. Responsibilities include user assistance and Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem resolution, system monitoring, escalation communications, capacity planning, and administration of UNIX and Windows or other applicable operating systems. Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Ten years of experience as a systems administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five additional years of systems administrator experience in lieu of the degree.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage daily configuration and operation activities for IT systems.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 Help Desk problems and Tier 2 escalation problems.
- Assist users with accessing and using IT systems.
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Support escalation of issues and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in their resolution.
- Troubleshoot IT systems in depth.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows or other applicable operating systems; install and load operating system software; troubleshoot and maintain network component integrity; and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers on escalated tickets.
