About The Position
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Splunk Systems Administrator. This is a Fulltime – Contract position located in Newport News, VA 23607 with a duration of 12 Months. The ideal candidate will maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The role involves interacting with users, evaluating vendor products, making recommendations for hardware and software purchases, coordinating installation, and providing backup recovery. The position also develops and monitors policies and standards for the allocation and use of computing resources.
Requirements
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with interacting with customers configuration and optimization in Splunk
- Experience with using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data
- Strong expertise, understanding architecture and ability to create, modify, troubleshoot data queries through various data sources
- Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging
- Experience with network security, system security, and supporting security information and event management (SIEM)
- Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments
- Experience with security tools, including Firewall, IDS, and Active Directory
- Splunk Administrator Certification
