About The Position

Premier Health is seeking a visionary System Vice President – Internal Medicine & Subspecialty Institute to help shape the future of healthcare across a leading integrated academic health system. This executive leadership role offers a unique opportunity to partner with physician leadership, drive strategic growth, advance clinical excellence, and enhance patient outcomes across the continuum of care. As the administrative dyad partner to the Institute Chair, you will lead enterprise-wide strategy, operations, growth, quality, financial performance, and physician alignment for Internal Medicine and Subspecialty services. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding access to care, improving patient and provider experiences, and building innovative programs that strengthen Premier Health's position as a regional healthcare leader.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience within an academic health system, complex multi-site health system, or integrated healthcare delivery network.
  • Executive-level experience leading strategy, operations, physician alignment, quality outcomes, growth initiatives, and financial performance across multiple service lines or care settings.
  • Demonstrated success operating within a physician-administrator dyad leadership model and navigating highly matrixed organizations.
  • Master's degree required; MBA, MHA, MSN, or a master's degree in operational management, finance, or a related discipline strongly preferred. Candidates with a clinical background must possess a master's degree in their clinical field and significant operational leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise-wide strategies that improve access, quality, patient experience, operational performance, and market growth.
  • Strong track record of leading physician engagement, organizational transformation, performance improvement, and large-scale operational initiatives.
  • Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and healthcare business development.
  • Expertise in building collaborative relationships with physicians, executives, clinical leaders, academic partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience leveraging data, technology, and digital transformation to drive results.

  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or other performance improvement methodologies.
