About The Position

This role involves acting as a single voice for bench level testing for assigned subsystems. The engineer will need to manage multiple projects across multiple programs simultaneously and communicate issues and testing results effectively within a team of engineers. A strong understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms is required, along with knowledge of safety-critical software and systems. The position requires high-level analytical ability for unusual and complex problems and strong interpersonal skills for independent and effective collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple programs simultaneously.
• Ability to work within a team of engineers and communicate issues and testing results effectively.
• Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms.
• Familiarity with GMLAN or CAN based communication.
• High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others.
• Knowledge of safety critical software and systems.
• Valid Driver's license and ability to drive GM Vehicles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in the use of Matlab and Simulink.
• Proficient in the use of CAN tools (CaNoE, Vehicle Spy, Vbox, Rt 3000).
• Previous subsystem testing experience in automotive.
