Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in electronics or electro-mechanical work
  • Ability to read and understand component datasheets and electronic schematics
  • Experience using electronic test equipment; Oscilloscope, DMM, Hi-Potential supplies, power analysis meters, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly documentation and adhere to assembly procedures
  • Experience using hand and some power tools including but not limited to solder iron, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to research and learn technology that may not be familiar
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Ability to read, speak and legibly write in the English language
  • Interact with employees, vendors, customers and visitors in a professional manner
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally for customer installs and on-site repair when needed

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering to develop test plans and schedules
  • Measure and record electrical/mechanical test data
  • Installation of system components in test cell environment
  • Troubleshooting and integration, requires understanding of full system functionality
  • Report failures and system conditions to engineering
  • Work with assembly team to improve reliability and processes
  • Enter test data into spreadsheets and electronic formats for review
  • Understand and implement complex electrical/mechanical system test procedures
  • Use hand and some power tools for assembly/disassembly and prototyping; solder station, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
  • Develop and document procedures and test practices
  • Will occasionally work with customers and sub-contractors to integrate outside systems or parts into systems
  • Follow safe working practices in manufacturing work environment
