Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years experience in electronics or electro-mechanical work
Ability to read and understand component datasheets and electronic schematics
Experience using electronic test equipment; Oscilloscope, DMM, Hi-Potential supplies, power analysis meters, etc.
Ability to read and understand assembly documentation and adhere to assembly procedures
Experience using hand and some power tools including but not limited to solder iron, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to research and learn technology that may not be familiar
Ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels to identify and resolve technical issues
Ability to read, speak and legibly write in the English language
Interact with employees, vendors, customers and visitors in a professional manner
Ability and willingness to travel internationally for customer installs and on-site repair when needed

Responsibilities

Work with engineering to develop test plans and schedules
Measure and record electrical/mechanical test data
Installation of system components in test cell environment
Troubleshooting and integration, requires understanding of full system functionality
Report failures and system conditions to engineering
Work with assembly team to improve reliability and processes
Enter test data into spreadsheets and electronic formats for review
Understand and implement complex electrical/mechanical system test procedures
Use hand and some power tools for assembly/disassembly and prototyping; solder station, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
Develop and document procedures and test practices
Will occasionally work with customers and sub-contractors to integrate outside systems or parts into systems
Follow safe working practices in manufacturing work environment
