System Test Engineer
About The Position
The System Test Engineer provides subject matter proficiency and analytical support for process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition. The role involves analyzing and planning tests, developing test documents and procedures, and conducting manual and automated software testing. Testing may include unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing. The engineer may also perform other technical or test-related duties as required and must have expertise in the specialty area. This is a full-time position in San Antonio, Texas. The position requires a Secret clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility and is contingent. A $1,500 referral bonus is listed.
Requirements
- Five years of overall experience in the functional area; a master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Five years of software development experience with object-oriented and scripted languages, and ability to apply tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
- Recent and relevant experience preparing, conducting, and documenting systems tests and results to verify operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.
- Three years of experience with bug-tracking software, such as Jira.
- Three years of experience testing web-based applications.
- Three years of experience using Agile Test-Driven Development.
- Practical experience testing and analyzing RESTful interfaces and sending and receiving RESTful commands.
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
- Secret clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility.
