About The Position

GDIT is a leading systems integrator in the Zero Trust Defense sector, developing and delivering innovative solutions to government customers. This role is on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoW client, focusing on creating Cybersecurity solutions. The System Test Engineer Senior will review system and security requirements, define test scope and methodologies, create testing documentation, execute system, integration, and end-to-end testing for cybersecurity-focused systems and services, document test results, and track defects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in system testing, software testing, or integration testing in an enterprise or government environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the development and execution of test procedures and test scripts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document test results and findings.
  • Experience troubleshooting at the system level (hardware and software).
  • Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical requirements, architecture diagrams, and security documentation.
  • Strong understanding of system, integration, and functional testing practices.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoW acceptance testing requirements for complex systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles such as least privilege, continuous authentication, and micro-segmentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Review system requirements, security requirements, and design documentation to identify testable components and create traceability.
  • Define test scope, identify test cases, and establish test methodologies.
  • Create comprehensive testing documentation to ensure thorough and consistent testing.
  • Determine the most critical areas for testing and focus resources accordingly.
  • Execute system, integration, and end‑to‑end testing for cybersecurity-focused systems and services.
  • Document test results, maintain test evidence, and ensure compliance with internal and DoW testing standards.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers and engineers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
