This role involves evaluating patient conditions over the telephone, prioritizing calls using industry-standard protocols, and maintaining professional radio communications. The System Status Controller (SSC) is responsible for consistently receiving emergency calls and entering them into the CAD system within a specified timeframe, as well as achieving alert times within 30 seconds of call receipt 90% of the time. The position requires a working knowledge of all communications equipment, the ability to apply and modify the System Status Plan (SSP) for efficient operations, and effective communication with various stakeholders including residents, public officials, governmental entities, and political leaders. The SSC must also be able to direct resources during major/mass casualty incidents and comply with all company policies and procedures. Punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance are essential, along with professionalism, effective communication (verbal and written), maintaining confidentiality, sound judgment, adaptability, flexibility, adherence to safety and compliance protocols, accountability, and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
