About The Position

As a System/Site Designer, you will be responsible for leading and developing various projects from early concept through design development and site layout. National Carwash Solutions (NCS) is North America's largest equipment, service, and cleaning solutions provider in the car wash industry, with a history of growth and a focus on team-oriented collaboration.

Requirements

  • Familiar with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical design.
  • Experience using Autodesk products; Revit, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
  • 3-5 years of relevant design/drafting experience, including exposure to Revit standards, templates, or firm-wide content management.
  • Must have ability to interpret specifications, recommend design improvements, and company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree from an accredited CAD training program, preferred but not required.
  • Car wash or adjacent industry experience is a plus but explicitly not required and will be trained.

Responsibilities

  • Use Revit software to develop designs for use by customers, certification agencies, local jurisdictions, and internal operations departments.
  • Produce 2D and 3D project site drawings and renderings using advanced computer programs such as BIM (Building Information Management), AutoCAD, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Analyze drawings to determine material schedules, equipment schedules, and material take offs required to build a designed project.
  • Work from technical specifications, customer and internal drawings, hand sketches, scanned images, Google Earth, government drawings and or general specifications.
  • Consult with clients to determine their requirements.
  • Support the Sales team in producing professional drawing packets of bids and proposals for use.
  • Support the Engineering team in producing submittal packets for certifications and permitting.
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
  • Self-check and ensure work for completeness, accuracy, compliance to standards and manufacturability.
  • Serve as a working point on Revit setup and standards for templates, families, shared parameters, annotation standards.
  • Help evaluate and implement workflow improvements that support broader documentation standards work.
  • Partner with the design leads on content/library management.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
