Requirements

US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering.
10+ years of recent and related work experience.
Experience working in systems safety working groups - SSWG, WSESRB, SSSTRP, etc.
Experience building and communicating a safety case for re-design/risk acceptance.
Requirements management and development experience, to include DOORS and/or CRADL.
Ability to interface with customer and program management.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
Team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.
Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
Organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Active Secret or TS-SCI level clearance

Responsibilities

Evaluate hardware and software ensuring mission success.
Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR).
Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings.
Support the development and updating of System Safety documents to support Customer, Range Safety, and contractual requirements.
Review and provide input to test procedures for adherence to System Safety requirements.
Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing range safety reports to support testing.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document real and potential hazards and their mitigation strategy for the program.
This position has potential to support various software safety activities.
Other duties as assigned.
