About The Position

This role is the System Production Engineer – it is a global support team role with tier 3 level support responsibilities for the Systems Production team within Collins Aerospace. The role consists of solution design, build and support operations based on ITIL practices and ISO processes for the customers. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with various systems and technologies, and a passion for ensuring the optimal performance and resilience of network and server systems. This is a hybrid role located in Tulsa, OK. Position will provide on-call support on a rotational basis. Position may require global travel.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience working with Airport IT systems.
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • Experience with imaging software.
  • Experience scripting tools including Win32, SQL, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with server operating systems, particularly Windows (2012 to 2025) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, SQL Express, Elasticsearch, Mongo, and Redis.
  • Hands-on experience with security software such as CrowdStrike, backup technologies, and data replication solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in different regions since this role may require some global travel.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership in building and configuring server systems from the ground up.
  • Pre-installation software and hardware staging and configuration.
  • Supporting the implementation of the technical project build, QA and roll out.
  • Engage in beta testing for new or modified code, providing valuable feedback for improvement.
  • Offer high-level factory support to our global deployment teams, first-level site administrators, and second-level factory support personnel.
  • Develop technical documentation such as bulletins, whitepapers, diagrams, installation guides, etc.
  • Engage in ISO processes, technical writing, and adopt troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Implement, manage, and troubleshoot backup, antivirus, data replication, and server operating systems.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and effective patch management.
  • Support learning, information distribution and providing professional guidance to Global Support teams.
  • Scheduled and rotational third level after hours support of production customer systems.
