About The Position

At HYVE Solutions, our mission is to help customers, business partners, and employees achieve success through shared goals, strategies, resources, and technology solutions. We are seeking a highly experienced System Power Architect to lead the design and development of power architectures for data center, rack, and POD solutions. This role will drive innovation in power delivery, efficiency, and reliability for TD SYNNEX's advanced infrastructure offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power architecture design and development for data center infrastructure, servers, or high-performance computing systems.
  • Deep expertise in AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion, power delivery networks (PDN), and power integrity.
  • Proven experience with power supply unit (PSU) design, selection, and validation, including understanding of industry standards (e.g., 80 PLUS).
  • Strong understanding of thermal management principles and their impact on power system performance and reliability.
  • Familiarity with data center power distribution schemes (e.g., 48V, 380V DC) and related safety standards.
  • Proficiency in power analysis tools and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for power systems (e.g., UL, CE, FCC).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop comprehensive power architectures for next-generation data center racks, PODs, and related infrastructure, considering scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Lead the selection and evaluation of power supply units (PSUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDUs), and other power components.
  • Conduct power budget analysis, thermal modeling, and efficiency optimization for various system configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, firmware) to ensure seamless integration of power solutions.
  • Develop and implement power management strategies, including dynamic power allocation and energy harvesting techniques.
  • Evaluate new power technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to inform architectural decisions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for power-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Create detailed design specifications, test plans, and documentation for power architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on power-related topics.
  • Engage with key customers and partners to understand their power requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
