The M OD DISPATCH Department of the M SYSTEM OPERATION Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Management vacancy available. This is a Professional Supervisor role. The job function is to serve as a frontline supervisor overseeing personnel operating the power system, including transmission and distribution operations, generation dispatch, outage management, field response, communications, and related data collection. The supervisor will direct and train personnel in policies and procedures, and the use of system tools such as EMS, ADMS, OMS, and any other future control room tools for centralized utility operations. This role coordinates generation, transmission and distribution system activities to ensure safe, reliable and economic grid operations, and initiates emergency response when appropriate. The supervisor will lead and foster a competitive and service-oriented work culture with a safety mindset, champion change and the LEAN continuous improvement mentality. The role also serves as the subject matter expert and functional resource, mentoring, advising, and participating in system projects and/or IMT incident response.
