About The Position

WOONGJIN, Inc. is seeking a skilled System (Linux) Administrator to join our rapidly growing team. This role involves the configuration, management, and support of various systems and infrastructure, including Atlassian products, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and automation tools. The ideal candidate will engineer system administration solutions, maintain security postures, and perform daily operations and maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity and availability.

Requirements

  • Especially high skill level of VMware admin and management.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GIT, and DevOps tool administration.
  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux+ (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or RHCE) preferred.
  • Network equipment management, Cisco equipment preferred.
  • 7+ years of system administration experience in Linux environments.
  • Proficient in shell scripting, creating cron jobs, analyzing log files, managing user accounts and groups, configuring iptables, and setting up mail services.
  • Ability to maintain Atlassian Jira and Confluence servers and provide user support.
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Independent, self-starter.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written correspondence) in a professional and courteous manner with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • CompTIA Security+ (SY0-301) or other DoD 8570.1 Workplace Improvement Plan IAT Level II compliant certification required (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with web-based technologies, including reverse proxy servers, SSL certificate configuration, three-tier architecture, service oriented architecture, enterprise service bus, http, and differences between browsers.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to move servers to and from main DC to the colocation and labs.
  • Install new hardware or migrate existing servers (rack and stack).

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and support Atlassian Jira and Confluence servers, including user management and user support.
  • Engineer systems administration-related solutions for project and operational needs.
  • Install and rebuild existing servers, configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage according to standards and requirements.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, etc.) and storage systems (Netapp, Dell/EMC, PureStorage, etc.).
  • Support and deploy infra automation tools like Ansible and Foreman.
  • Manage system inventory using tools like GLPI.
  • Manage network equipment (Cisco, Mellanox, etc.).
  • Install and configure systems supporting infrastructure and R&D activities.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Configure and maintain storage equipment and troubleshoot with vendors.
  • Configure and install EDA tools, FlexLM licenses, and troubleshoot software tool issues.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards and security posture.
  • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Install and maintain security patches on operational and development systems (Red Hat Linux, Windows, VMWare, Apache).
  • Report Security Patch compliance.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, servers, systems, and key processes.
  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs (e.g., backups).
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify potential intrusions.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring successful backups and media management.
  • Perform regular file archival and purging.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts as necessary.
  • Provide Tier III/other support as requested.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
  • Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades, and upgrade administrative tools.
  • Configure and add new services as necessary.
  • Manage existing and/or deploy new instances of Jira, Git, LDAP, Jenkins, and VMWare environments.
  • Upgrade and configure system software supporting infrastructure or Asset Management applications.
  • Maintain operational and configuration procedures.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support as required.
