We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to focus on building and deploying robust, offline-capable, open-source AI-powered learning solutions. This role is critical for developing innovative applications for learning solutions that operate in resource-constrained or disconnected environments with an eye toward future cloud scalability. The Systems Integrator (SI) will support the Sponsor’s high-level learning institution, where skills-specific tradecraft training divisions combine with new programs to leverage private-sector opportunities, support the Sponsor’s corporate career development, and raise digital acumen throughout the organization. The principal role of the SI is to provide integration management support to multiple projects simultaneously to ensure efficient and timely cross-project coordination of plans, facilities, technical resources, project schedules, status reporting, briefings, and other issues. The SI shall: Provide support to Learning Solutions: Download and evaluate AI models for integration into existing curricula and/or Sponsor systems. Evaluate AI technologies to determine feasibility for integration into Sponsor systems. Assist in identifying, planning and integration of Large Language Models (LLM) to expand translation tools, conversational skills, simulation capabilities, and language practice. Design and implement high-performance, open-source AI applications across a variety of domains. Work hands-on with a diverse range of AI model types, to include: Large Language Models (LLMs) Machine Translation Speech to Text (STT)/Text to Speech (TTS) Computer Vision (Object Detection, Image Generation, and Image Classification) Avatar animation Optimize models and applications for efficient execution on various hardware platforms. Provide Innovative Tech Solutions: Evaluate a broad range of technologies to determine feasibility for incorporation into existing training curricula. Participate in meetings with organizational principals to coordinate activities to include meetings and updating calendars, as needed. Demonstrate proactive engagement and experience multitasking in a fast-paced and demanding technical environment. Provide oversight of activities by monitoring progress to ensure organizational principals are aware of all task statuses. Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail. Provide information or respond accurately to routine to moderately complex questions and/or technical/administrative issues and requests in a clear, concise, credible, and courteous manner, and in an appropriate professional manner. Other: Office core hours are from 0900 hours to 1500 hours. Travel will be limited to Washington metro area (WMA)
