Viasat is a global leader in mobile broadband satellite communication technology, products and services, with over 35 years of experience. The company is vertically integrated with a diversified portfolio of products, terminals, and hubs, including phased-array, parabolic and dual band mobility antennas, Antenna Control Units (ACU), L-Band modems, HAIPE encryptors, complete terminal systems for fixed and rotary wing platforms, multiple hub/gateway systems, and Network Management Systems. Viasat is looking for individuals passionate about new technologies and eager to learn. As a Systems Integration Engineer, the primary responsibility is to guide the successful transition of products from development to a fully released platform supported by the Viasat NOC. This role also involves facilitating the integration of new customers onto existing Viasat communications platforms. The engineer will be intimately involved in the specification, integration, test, demonstration, deployment, documentation, and formal release of Government and Commercial mobile broadband SATCOM hubs and terminals. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, including software, hardware, network, mechanical, test, and system engineers, throughout all phases of product development, integration, test, deployment, and implementation. The engineer is expected to add value to the design and release of new products by applying theoretical and practical knowledge to optimize end-user experience, implementation, and product reliability/sustainability. This highly diverse role positions the engineer as a product Subject Matter Expert (SME), integral to the formal release process, development of documentation, training material, and initial customer training. Collaboration with a broad spectrum of internal support organizations is also required for the release process and issue resolution.
