System Integration Engineer

About The Position

Perform systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, analysis, and traceability. Develop and maintain engineering artifacts such as models, procedures, and technical reports. Support integration and testing of SSDS components, including sensors, weapons interfaces, and supporting cyber capabilities. Execute verification testing and performance analysis to validate system behavior and mission effectiveness. Support lab installation, system bring-up, and integration efforts in controlled environments. Ensure systems meet cybersecurity requirements and operate within secure configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, software, test, and integration) to resolve technical issues and integration challenges. Evaluate system performance against operational requirements and threat scenarios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Systems, or related field) and 5-7+ years of post-education related experience
  • Experience with systems engineering, integration, or test (SEIT)
  • Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and system hardening
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with naval combat systems (SSDS, Aegis, or similar environments)
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or requirements tools
  • Experience with system integration labs and hardware/software bring-up
  • Knowledge of network security, OS security, or DoD cyber frameworks
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix and scripting (Python preferred)
  • Security+ or other DoD cybersecurity certification
