At Intrado, all of our work truly matters. The System Implementation Specialist 3 is responsible for overseeing the deployment of E911 (emergency call routing) IT systems and solutions for clients. This role involves leading client interactions, managing project timelines, and ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of systems. This role will be a key player in delivering high-quality solutions that exceed client expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in system implementation or related roles, with proven experience in managing and deploying complex IT systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of VoIP technologies, vendor PBXs, and Linux.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing complex IT systems, with experience troubleshooting preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers based in the USA and Canada.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and managing advanced software and hardware systems.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively, with the ability to provide clear direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications or public safety (911) industry preferred, with experience in customer facing product implementations.
  • Experience in project management, demonstrating ability to manage multiple project assignments preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL or advanced technical certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent training and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of advanced software and hardware systems.
  • Ensure systems are effectively integrated with existing infrastructure and meet high performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, team members, and department contacts.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address complex issues.
  • Act as Tier II and III troubleshooting escalations and provide advanced technical support.
  • Guide clients through the implementation process with expert technical support.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of project timelines and milestones.
  • Oversee project progress and provide detailed updates to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues during implementation.
  • Act as a project lead and maintain team status updates throughout assigned projects detailing project status.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely assignment of resources and meet project delivery expectations.
  • Create established standards and strategies for each project, including status reporting, issues management, and change control.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned business segment products and services.
  • Resolve complex technical issues during and after implementation.
  • Act as Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting escalations and technical support for the designated functions.
  • Collaborate with department contacts and clients on recommendations for system enhancements and deployments.
  • Conduct thorough system testing to meet functionality and performance standards.
  • Perform in-depth post-implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and best practices.
  • Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance system implementation efficiency.
  • Identify operational improvements and develop strategies that streamline project timelines.
  • Mentor and train junior teammates utilizing project documentation and experience.
  • Provide guidance to coworkers on best practices and operational improvements.
