System Float Pool Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join their team. This is a great entry-level position with on-the-job training available for applicants interested in the healthcare field but not specifically certified. It is also a great position for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for a supportive workplace. The Nursing Assistant will have the opportunity to help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. The goal is to help ensure the vision to be, “The Best Place to Get Care. The Best Place to Give Care”. This is a full-time position with day shifts (6:45 am - 7:15 pm, 3 shifts per week) and floats between all 4 metro locations: Saint Luke's Plaza, East, North, South, & Smithville.
Requirements
- 1 year of applicable experience
- Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
- Mandt/CPI APS - Healthstream
Nice To Haves
- Not certified but interested in joining the healthcare field
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living and care, such as bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
- Anticipates the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
- Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
- Collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
