About The Position
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our team. The role involves daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9 Operating Systems, as well as providing Ubuntu support. You will oversee cross-platform virtual machine lifecycles across Linux hypervisor environments, optimizing resource allocation and compute capacity. The position requires maintaining and managing various versions of OpenStack across multi-region deployments and troubleshooting issues across Agency GOTS OpenStack platforms. A key responsibility will be writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Puppet. This may include developing end-to-end Python and Bash scripts to automate daily operational tasks, reduce manual toil, and streamline system provisioning workflows. You will also manage YUM repos and utilize Naemon and Grafana diagnostic tooling for systemic performance analysis and proactive health monitoring.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Minimum of Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
- OpenStack experience
- Linux experience to include: Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9
- Experience with Grafana and Naemon
- Virtual Machine – Hypervisor
- Ansible and Puppet
- IAT II
Nice To Haves
- MachineShop experience
- Hypervisor virtual machine experience
- Python development language
- Understanding of Return-to-Service (RTS) protocols
- Familiarity with Pagent and Putty
- Bash scripting
Responsibilities
- Daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9 Operating Systems
- Providing Ubuntu support

- Maintain and manage various versions of OpenStack across multi-region deployments
