Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your sophisticated traction system expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll define the architecture and functionalities of the traction drives or auxiliary converter systems and technically lead the engineering studies to ensure performances are in compliance with initial requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as RAMS engineers, validation teams and technical teams), provide technical guidance and support to project teams, and much more.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5-years of experience with System or Traction Engineering
  • Experience or understanding of traction drives or auxiliary converter systems
  • Knowledge of electrical systems architecture and design
  • Familiarity with product breakdown structure and design review processes
  • Proficiency in allocating and optimizing technical requirements across various functions
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical leadership abilities

Responsibilities

  • Collecting external (customer standards) and internal (rolling stock) requirements and allocate them to the technical teams involved
  • Analyzing system requirements and defining system architectures for traction drives
  • Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all traction or auxiliary functions specifications by verifying every FRS and component specification and by participating in all design reviews
  • Developing and validating functionalities for auxiliary converter systems
  • Leading technical studies and design activities to meet performance targets
  • Providing technical guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Leading development of certain RAMS specific documents and deliverables, such as FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), FMECA (Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis), PHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis), and Reliability Predictions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex engineering issues
  • Documenting technical specifications and project progress
