About The Position

Responsible for analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architecture to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads related design and development activities, while guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of systems engineering management plans, system integration plans, and test plans. Interacts with Government stakeholders regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Maintains ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed within the systems engineering area of responsibility and communicates regularly with program personnel, Government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required
  • Supporting FETS systems
  • SE-1 Qualifications: Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • SE-1 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • SE-1 Qualifications: Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • SE-2 Qualifications: Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • SE-2 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • SE-2 Qualifications: Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
