About The Position

The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for a System Engineer to support their Maryland Customer for cross domain solutions. This role involves applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts, and communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. The position holds responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, which include Technical Process Area, Project Process Area, Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area, and Agreement Process Area.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly.
  • Level 1: High School diploma with twelve (12) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) years of experience. Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 2: High School diploma with nineteen (19) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR Bachelor’s degree with fourteen (14) years of experience. Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with VMware architecture, Installation and configuration.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with facilitating failover with VMotion.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with implementing rollback capability.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with VMware template library.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with Central Remote Management capability.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ experience with configuration Management.
  • Level 2: Three (3) years’ Experience with leveraging VMware’s monitoring capability (VROPS…..etc.).
  • Level 3: High School diploma with twenty-five (25) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of experience. Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Level 3: Five (5) years’ experience with VMware architecture, Installation and configuration.
  • Level 3: Five (5) years’ experience with facilitating failover with VMotion.
  • Level 3: Five (5) years’ experience with implementing rollback capability.
  • Level 3: Five (5) years’ experience with VMware template library.
  • Level 3: Five (5) years’ experience with Central Remote Management capability.

  • Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.
  • Related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.

Nice To Haves

  • Testing and Linux Systems administration experience.
