About The Position
deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a System Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related work experience. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of system design, requirements development, use cases, test plans, procedure preparation, and test execution. Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS, software testing or integration, and developing/executing manual tests for requirements verification is essential. Knowledge of Python and automation scripting, strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and in a team are also required. The position supports an in-person / closed-area work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- 2 years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of system design, requirements development, use cases, test plans, procedure preparation, and test execution
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Experience with software testing or integration
- Experience in developing test artifacts/cases and executing manual test in support of requirements verification efforts
- Knowledge of Python and automation scripting
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
- Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
- Active Secret security clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the MDA GMD program
- Broad experience with systems engineering applied throughout the systems "V" lifecycle model
- Experience with Software development and the verification of requirements
- Battle Management or Fire Control experience
- MBSE or INCOSE Certifications
- Experience developing SE artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and similar documents
