About The Position

Join our team as a key contributor responsible for the end-to-end operation of approximately 700 systems across TEST, AC1, PreLIVE, and LIVE environments. You will work in a highly automated, performance-driven infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of our VoIP and Radius platforms. As part of our team, you will operate, maintain, and enhance VoIP and Radius systems within high-performance data centers. You will develop and improve automated system management using Puppet and Debian-based server clusters, and drive projects within the VoIP and Radius environment across their full lifecycle — from design and implementation to deployment. You will perform performance analysis and optimization to ensure system efficiency and reliability, plan and execute rollouts of new features and system updates, and carry out regular maintenance activities (system expansions, updates, upgrades). You will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a structured and goal-oriented manner, coordinate with upstream providers by creating and managing trouble tickets, and participate in an on-call rotation (additional compensation provided).

Requirements

  • Strong Linux expertise
  • Passion for open-source technologies
  • Several years of experience in IT operations (FOSS systems or Site Reliability Engineering)
  • Strong expertise in Linux administration, especially with clustered environments
  • Practical experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, UDP)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl) for automation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB administration
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset and ability to quickly understand complex systems
  • Good English skills (written and spoken)

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g. KVM, Proxmox, oVirt, OpenStack)
  • Knowledge of VoIP technologies and telephony systems (e.g. Asterisk, Kamailio)
  • Experience with FreeRADIUS
  • Basic German is an advantage
