About The Position

This role focuses on system engineering with an emphasis on data flow, customer relations, and SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) understanding. The engineer will be responsible for understanding and defining customer requirements, troubleshooting complex data flow issues, and working with various tools and systems to ensure seamless data processing and system-to-system connections.

Requirements

• Ability to form good relationships with customers and mission partners
• Reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users
• Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements.
• Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira
• Good understanding of data processing capabilities
• Understands system-to-system connections for data flow processes
• Basic understanding of NiFi, should understand flow file attributes or be able to learn it quickly
• Understanding of SIGINT collection and analysis
• Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, Tactical Collection Capabilities, Military SIGINT architectures and related data flows.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Electronic Warfare operations, sensors and related data
• Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP and XML
• Understanding of tactical datalinks and command and control signals
• Understanding of data architectures
• Experience with Intelligence Community
• Experience with DoD Service Intelligence Centers (such as NASIC)
• Understanding of DoD - command structures and relationships
