We are seeking a Systems Engineer with Apache NiFi expertise to join a team who automates the flow of data between software systems. The individual will work to provide solutions which enable Data Transformation, Processing and Analytic Solutions. Data from various sensors is ingested, transformed into standard formats, and enriched to improve knowledge and optimize analytic capabilities to achieve mission objectives and outcomes. Tools will be developed and integrated to allow for analysis and visualization. Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288: .The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex systems. This role requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with Apache NiFi. The Systems Engineer will work closely with government customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that enable data transformation, processing, and analytic capabilities. This includes ingesting data from various sensors, transforming it into standard formats, and enriching it to improve knowledge and optimize analytic capabilities. The Systems Engineer will also be responsible for developing and integrating tools for analysis and visualization. This position requires a current polygraph and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS).
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
- OR A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general system engineering experience.
- OR A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
- OR A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
- NiFi, experience with customer data flow architecture
- Prior knowledge and experience with Cyber and Cybersecurity data
- Experience with ingesting opensource cyber data into IC data architectures

- Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, test, and implementation of advanced cybersecurity-oriented capabilities.
- Develop and perform automated builds, testing, and deployments in support of NiFi development.
