About The Position

MACC, a division of Harris, is seeking a System Analyst/Software Developer with expertise in MSSQL, REST API, and C# (.NET Core). This remote role, open to candidates in Canada and the US, involves designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Travel is required up to 20%, and candidates must possess a valid passport and be eligible for international travel. Preference will be given to candidates available during CST timezone. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, improving, and maintaining IT systems to enhance efficiency, developing database solutions with MSSQL, creating RESTful APIs, writing C# code in .NET Core, and developing front-end applications using Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting, debugging, and participating in code reviews are key aspects of the position. Staying current with industry trends is also expected.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Analyst/Software Developer or similar role.
• Proven proficiency in MSSQL and database design.
• Experience with REST API development and integration.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core framework.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally.
• Possess either passport-based visa exemption or any required travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with GitHub practices and tools.
• Ability to work in CST timezone.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, improves, and maintains an organization's IT systems to increase efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using MSSQL.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in C# using .NET Core.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
