Systems Administrator is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Monitors performance levels, conducts capacity planning studies, maintains current software release levels of assigned technical infrastructure and makes adjustments as necessary. Assists in logical and physical systems design and controls. Provides advanced technical expertise in support of Information Systems staff and projects. Responds to and resolves technical systems problems whenever they occur. The ideal candidate possesses strong networking knowledge and experience with enterprise firewall platforms. Responsibilities include the maintenance and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure with a primary focus on firewall management. Duties will include managing firewall policies, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents.
