Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing technical support or customer service in a help desk, service desk, desktop support, or similar environment, with familiarity using ITSM processes and ticketing platforms such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with or exposure to system patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance activities.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management, and host upgrades.
  • Experience with enterprise Windows services and deployment technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, identity integration, MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment while providing responsive and professional technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, account, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage assigned incidents and service requests through a ticketing system, taking ownership through resolution while delivering a positive customer experience through clear communication, timely status updates, effective prioritization, and thorough documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of Windows Server or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication methods.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment, using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of varying scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain system security and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and provide training on IT processes and procedures as required.
  • Obtain applicable Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within six months of the start date.
  • Support systems operating 24x7, which may occasionally require work outside standard business hours.
  • Travel to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate, up to 10% annually.
