About The Position

The U.S. Soldier Center at Natick, MA of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) is the Army’s corporate laboratory. It’s a diverse assortment of unique facilities and a dedicated workforce of government and private sector partners make up the largest source of world-class integrated research and analysis in the U.S. Army. ARL discovers, innovates and transitions research in order to provide the best technologies for our Soldiers. ARL’s program consists of basic and applied research and survivability/lethality and human factors analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Performing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Servers.
  • Supporting Windows and services including, but not limited to, Active Directory user/role-based administration, Print Services, Group Policy, Internet Information Services, Microsoft SQL, storage technologies (iSCSI), and third-party services such as backup, monitoring utilities, and virtualization.
  • Performing integrated information assurance (IA) tasks following Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Best Business Practices (BBP) in assisting with network accreditation requirements.
  • Supporting virtual environments and handling high available clustering technologies.
  • Performing system upgrades, deploy new third-party services.
  • Interface with team members to identify, analyze and resolve complex issues across the enterprise.

  • Coordination with the client’s Cybersecurity Unit to achieve and maintain the information systems’ compliance and authorization to operate (ATO).
  • Manages security compliance for networked devices and non networked standalone devices.
  • System administrator for multiple systems and devices, managing personnel access, audit logs, software acquisition and management.
  • Data transfer agent responsibilities for transferring software and pertinent updates unto standalone systems.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing to track and detail the demands, efforts, and shortcomings in meeting the goals of the customers information system implementation and compliance
  • Support the integration/testing, operations, and maintenance of systems .
  • Develops, updates, and maintains internal Standard Operating Procedures for all internal assigned functions.
  • Provides system operation support, administers hardware and software inventory.
  • Creates documentation for applied software/hardware for sets of systems.
  • Utilizes STIG tools to secure systems and achieve compliance with evidence.
