About The Position

Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows and Linux server environments. Manage and support F5 load balancers, including configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization. Support enterprise infrastructure operations, including system deployment, patching, monitoring, and maintenance. Work with networking teams to support load balancing, routing, and network infrastructure integration. Maintain system security and compliance with DoD and federal security standards, including STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation. Administer Active Directory, including user management, group policy configuration, and authentication services. Support virtualized environments including VMware infrastructure and related technologies. Assist with infrastructure integration with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure when applicable. Troubleshoot system and network performance issues across multiple environments. Support automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or similar technologies. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. Document system configurations, procedures, and operational processes. Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance (required).
  • 7+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support.
  • Hands-on experience managing F5 load balancers in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory and enterprise identity services.
  • Experience working with virtualized environments such as VMware.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and load balancing.
  • Experience supporting federal government or DoD environments.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Washington, DC metro area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience implementing security hardening, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience supporting container or orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Relevant certifications such as: Security+ F5 Certified Administrator RHCSA / RHCE Microsoft or Cisco certifications
