About The Position

Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Senior System Administrator responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT systems while providing advanced technical support across complex computing environments. This role serves as a technical leader, supporting system architecture, resolving complex infrastructure issues, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland Polygraph
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 technical support in enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience administering Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex IT infrastructure issues.
  • Experience supporting client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
  • Experience monitoring system performance, conducting capacity planning, and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems architecture and mission infrastructure design.
  • Working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and system administration interdependencies.
  • Experience integrating server hardware, enterprise applications, and software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of operating system administration, network configuration, and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and customer support skills.
  • Ability to support mission-critical systems in secure enterprise or government environments.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and five (5) years of System Administrator experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Ten (10) years of System Administrator experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems.
  • Manage the day-to-day configuration, administration, and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) support by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues.
  • Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) support for advanced technical problems and system outages.
  • Assist users with accessing, utilizing, and troubleshooting IT systems and applications.
  • Monitor, maintain, and support client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
  • Perform day-to-day system operations, maintenance, and problem resolution across enterprise infrastructure.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and communicate system status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization through capacity planning and performance analysis.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex IT system issues.
  • Provide detailed technical analysis, recommendations, and feedback for escalated service requests.
  • Support dispatch systems and coordinate the resolution of hardware-related issues.
  • Configure, administer, and maintain Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating system software.
  • Maintain the integrity, availability, and security of operating systems and network components.
  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve system reliability and overall performance.
  • Support the design and implementation of enterprise systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to support system administration and infrastructure integration.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, enterprise applications, and software integration.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure systems meet operational and mission requirements.
