About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage the Sponsor’s Research and Development (R&D) environment in the Sponsor’s cloud environments. This role involves providing level O&M services, troubleshooting, system backup and restore, and software upgrades. You will also provide technical support for application integration and deployment into the Sponsor’s cloud production environment, as well as hardware and virtual server build, installation, troubleshooting, O&M, and system backups and restoral for the Sponsor and Mission Partners. The position requires providing guidance, recommendations, and technical assistance on cloud, hardware platforms, and operational system software. Responsibilities include monitoring and responding to system alarms and audit events, system hardening for operating systems (Linux and Windows), planning and implementing system security procedures (firewalls, SSL, x509, PKI certificates), ensuring patch compliance and version updates, managing P/O PM responsibilities via Application release notes, managing system access control and security, and supporting other system administration functions as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Sponsor’s Research and Development (R&D) environment in the Sponsor’s cloud environments.
  • Provide level O&M services, troubleshooting, system backup and restore, and software upgrades.
  • Provide technical support for integration and deployment of applications into the Sponsor’s cloud production environment.
  • Provide hardware and virtual server build, installation, troubleshooting, O&M, system backups and restoral for the Sponsor and Mission Partners.
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and technical assistance on cloud, hardware platforms and operational system software.
  • Monitor and take responsive actions on system alarms and audit events.
  • Provide system hardening to hosting platforms operating systems (like Linux and Windows).
  • Plan, develop, and implement system security procedures to include implementing firewalls, SSL, x509, PKI certificates and system hardening (like Linux and Windows).
  • Ensure patch compliance and version updates on all software up to and including middleware required by Sponsor applications.
  • Manage P/O PM responsibilities via Application release notes.
  • Manage system access control and security in accordance with Sponsor security requirements.
  • Support other system administration functions as required by the Sponsor.
