About The Position

Harrison Steel Castings Co. has an opening for a System Administrator within the Information Technology department. This position would be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of Harrison Steel's technology infrastructure and computer systems. Leads the planning, deployment, and maintenance of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranet systems, and related network environments to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. Collaborates with IT team members to develop, refine, and execute departmental and strategic technology initiatives that align with business objectives. Provides technical expertise, operational support, and innovative solutions while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a secure, resilient, and high-performing IT environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, degree or relevant experience with three to five years' work related and/or training required.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Analyzes and isolates issues on the network
  • Monitors performance and maintain systems to meet requirements
  • Identifies user network needs and seeks solutions to those needs
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Upgrade systems with new releases of software or hardware
  • Maintains integrity of network, server deployment, and security
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
  • Manages wireless network including, access points, cameras, workstations and mobility
  • Assists in the administration and management of Server environment including Virtualization
  • Collaborates with the IT Director and other members of the IT staff to ensure efficient operation of the company's computing environment
  • Responds to and performs moves, adds, and change requests as they are submitted
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
  • Creates and maintains documentation and inventory as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, service records, network hardware, and any other computer equipment.
  • Accurately and timely documents instances of network and desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Operates under a Zero Trust security framework and enforces all rules there within
  • Maintains companies' enterprise security controls across its infrastructure
