About The Position

We are seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to support the installation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of telecommunications and network infrastructure systems in a 24/7 operational environment. This role involves ensuring continuous system availability, responding to incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and performing routine system updates and security-related maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience in network/system operations, and the ability to work in a shift-based mission-critical environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph (required)
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • IAT Level II certification (DoD 8570 baseline requirement)
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Security, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CompTIA Security+ CE, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in network operations center (NOC) or systems administration environments
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment (routers and switches)
  • Experience supporting secure, high-availability systems in mission-critical environments
  • Incident response, monitoring, and ticketing system experience

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and network infrastructure.
  • Provide 24/7 system and infrastructure monitoring, including alerting, logging, ticketing, and reporting.
  • Perform administrative support functions related to system operations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with ISP personnel, network operations staff, and customer support teams to ensure situational awareness and incident response.
  • Provide notifications and updates regarding system events and outages.
  • Perform router and switch updates in support of security and operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support resolution of operational incidents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system status, changes, and incidents.
  • Support ongoing operational readiness of mission-critical systems.
