About The Position

Semper Valens is seeking to fill a Systems Administrator III to support our DANS team in our San Antonio, TX location. What success looks like in this role: Support and sustain Air Force Cyber Vulnerability Assessment / Hunter Weapon System. Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Experienced with and frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories. Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity. Responsible for the performance of technical support projects and/or tasks in support of the CVA/H weapon system. Provide guidance, direct and guide team leads in accordance with contract requirements, appropriate policies, procedures, and guidelines. Communicate with squadron Chief of Maintenance teams to provide oversight, support, and supervision of daily tasks. Identify project requirements, coordinate network and security upgrades and facilitate Authorized System Interruption (scheduled or unscheduled) with local customers

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Required
  • 10+ years' relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in relevant field
  • Relevant professional experience within Systems Administration and functions of system documentation, accounts, software, hardware, computing resources.
  • Familiarization with Air Force Cyber Weapon Systems
  • Experience with Air Force network topologies / architecture / infrastructure
  • Experience with Air Force Cyber Protection Team construct
  • DoD 8140.01 Compliant: IAT II
