About The Position

Predicate Logic is looking for a motivated System Administrator III to join our team in Norfolk, VA. Predicate Logic also has offices in Chesapeake, Virginia, specializing in communications engineering, training, and Cybersecurity, and in Charleston, South Carolina, supporting the Navy and Marine Corps programs through Naval Information Warfare Center Charleston. Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years with Master's or eleven (11) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
  • Duties include installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
  • Three (3) years of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems.
  • Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and Assist personnel in troubleshooting and repair of serial and IP-based communications systems and networks.
  • Assist government personnel in maintaining strict configuration control of current architectures.
  • Participate in assigned Computer and Communications Systems Engineering Reviews and provide technical representation at meetings as required.
  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
  • Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
  • Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so that information can be shared.
  • Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
  • Provide network and system administration of the assigned Computer and Communications Systems.
