This role involves reviewing, developing, and designing technology systems in collaboration with FMOLHS IS Architects. The System Administrator 1 will assist in developing and complying with standards for documentation, end-user instructions, computer deployment, ticket logging, and monitoring. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, deploying, maintaining, and supporting systems, as well as monitoring them for optimal performance and resource utilization. The position requires working with supervisors and architecture teams to specialize in an area and become a subject matter expert (SME). This includes researching new developments, understanding product roadmaps, providing expert knowledge, ensuring optimal configuration, and offering high-level technical support. The role also involves preparing and contributing to knowledge bases, staying current with industry trends, monitoring and maintaining system security in cooperation with security administrators, and ensuring the integrity of access control, authentication, authorization, and accounting systems. Additionally, the System Administrator 1 will be responsible for preventative maintenance, data protection, backup/restore, and availability features to ensure continued operation during security breaches or system failures. Developing and implementing data-driven performance improvement methodologies and ensuring the security, integrity, and privacy of FMOLHS data are also crucial aspects of this position.
